“Remembering That It Happened Once,” my choral setting of Wendell Berry’s poem of that name, will receive its world premiere in St. Paul, Minnesota, on September 26, 2013.
The performance is part of the First Readings Project, “a professional chamber choir founded to assist composers in the development of new music for vocal ensemble.” It was founded by conductor and composer David Moore.
Other composers represented: Linda Kachelmeier (“Winds Through the Olive Trees”), David Evan Thomas (“Psalm 23”), Jeremy Beck (“Dream and Echoes”).
